Joe:
Following the instructions on the software is also good practice.  The recommendation to wait 24 hours and retest insures that you don't over compensate with chemicals.  Every chemical you put in the water effects several factors.  However, you can add all of them at the same time unless the product label states otherwise.  Furthermore, you can change the settings on the software from "Safe Mode" to "Quick Balance" if you want a more aggressive treatment plan.

In the recommended Treatment section the software tells me whatto do to adjust water. I have been doing as it suggested each time, but I'm confused as to the adding of the chemical suggestions. Do I add only the first chemical and then retest in 24 hrs. or do I add each chemical, with a short time perios between the addition, all on the same day?

Thank you.  I found it in 'Spa Settings' | 'Basic Setup' | "What type of acid will you use?"

I must have overlooked that many times!

Thanks.

Just change the settings to liquid acid when all the dry is gone.

I have just a few ounces of sodium bisulfate remaining and do not intend to replace it while muriatic acid HCl is available.

Why would you want to do that?  You can change the pH range settings also.

Thanks.

Asked another way, how do I suppress sodium bisulfate 'dry acid' addition recommendations?

Yes.  Just go to Program Settings, Chemical Settings and then change the Muriatic Acid %.  100% is assumed to be the standard 37% HCL solution.  Therefore, just change it to 81% (37/30).  That should work.

I live on an island that is a ferry ride plus fifty miles from more than tourist towns.  I am trying to use locally available chemicals in my new spa.  For calcium chloride I use DampRid and so on.  Sodium bisulfate, 'dry acid, is not a common product but muriatic acid HCl is commonly available.

Can the program be forced to indicate acid/pH down quantities for muriatic acid 30% HCl.

Thank you.

My new spa water is balanced according to PPS Software at 80 ppm TA, 190 ppm CH, 7.6 pH, bromine 10 ppm at 104°F, but still needs adjustment.  The fill water is seven days old.

Bromine concentration alternates with MPS; 0 bromine, MPS dose, 10 ppm bromine, with two bathers per day.

Is there an objective/calculable estimate of MPS rate (quantity per time or use) for middling bromine concentration?  Or is there an effect, like impatience, that I don't understand?

Thank you.
