Marten:
We stopped carrying those strips for that reason.  The best kit to use is the Taylor K-2005.  Yes it is more accurate.  But your water chemistry will change during transport to the store also.  You will get the most accurate results by testing the water yourself at home with this test kit.

Subject: Hot tub

I own a hot tub and have been unable to find any hot tub supplier in Calgary that can help me to manage my water mostly because they don’t understand water chemistry.  So I have been doing some research on my own and find out that it is nothing as simply as the retailers are telling me.

I have been using the 5 in 1 test strips to monitor water quality in my hot tub.  However, I find that when I take a water sample into the lab that the lab results vary quite considerably to the results of my test strip.

Do you have a test kit available that will give me more accurate results for am looking for
-   free chlorine
-   total chlorine
-   alkalinity
-   hardness
-   pH

Also is there any information or site that you know of that I can go to get some simple step by step instruction on water quality management.

Thanks for you help.
